The Bittersweet of Change

Eric and his brother Nic, about an eon ago. Nic's the one crying!

After a lot of prayer and fasting, Eric has decided to accept a new job offer, starting on January 3rd.  He will be working for Kindred Healthcare as the Director of Payer Relations for the State of Washington.  Don't ask me what that means, because I still don't know despite the fact that Eric has explained his new job description to me multiple times.  In essence, it is an amazing opportunity for his career advancement, and he is looking forward to the new challenges and experiences it will provide.

(Plus.....he will have an actual office!  You know you are moving up in the world when you have graduated from a cubicle!)

The flip side to changing jobs is leaving the old one behind.  After eight years at Premera Blue Cross, Eric has formed many meaningful friendships and relationships.  Knowing what he is leaving behind, this change is bittersweet.  Some things are hard to let go of, yet there is some excitement in the anticipation of what is to come!!

Good luck to you guys! Hopefully Eric's hip new ties will make him the most fashionable of the new office.
