Adventures on San Juan Island

We enjoyed many adventures while staying on San Juan Island for Spring Break.

The kids loved the alpaca farm....

We enjoyed some beautiful sunshine at Roche Harbor....

...along with some amazing scenery and old buildings...

Had a lot of fun playing in the sculpture garden....

My favorite picture from the whole trip! It still makes me laugh to look at it!

...and enjoyed some breath-taking views of the Sound....

Bonus points for finding Heidi!

Eric was one-wheeling Elise's chair over the rough terrain, and she just squealed with delight!

We ate a lot of great food at fun restaurants.....

Erica was having a rough afternoon after falling on the rocks and skinning her knee.
Showing her battle wound.
....and made one last trip down the pier while waiting for the ferry....

San Juan Island is always a wonderful getaway, and we couldn't have had a better time! The weather was perfect, the house we rented was gorgeous and spacious, and we had plenty of time to just be together as a family, and share it with Eric's mom.

One of my favorite places on earth!

Tulip Festival

The beginning of April we flew Eric's mom up for a visit during the kids' Spring Break. We stopped off at the Tulip Festival on our way to San Juan Island, to take a look at the rows and rows of unbloomed tulips! We were a bit early for most of the tulips, but we still enjoyed the scenery and, most of all, the mud!
